Kinder Scout Mermaid Pool - Fact or Fiction?
There seem to be many myths about the landlocked Mermaid’s Pool, overlooked by the Kinder downfall and nowadays popular with wild water swimmers. Legend has it that this ancient site may possess healing powers. It is said that a visit at midnight over Easter may leave you with eternal life if you are blessed to see one, or possibly both, of the mythical Mermaids that reside here. Wild Water swimmers need to be wary though, as she may pull you in to meet your maker if you do not offer the proper respect.
