Bamford Clough is a notoriously steep road climbing sharply from Bamford towards Bamford Edge. With gradients approaching 30%, it presents a formidable challenge for cyclists, mountain bikers and walkers alike. The climb is short but relentless, gaining height rapidly before emerging onto the open moorland around Bamford Edge.
